After being initially drawn by the shadows of trees she spotted in the grass, she spent months studying a method that does not present the object as a two-dimensional image on canvas. The subject is a mirror of its own, with the canvas carrying an interpretation by painting of the object, especially in the case of a living thing or food item, for example, fruit or humans. Alexa Meade's distinctive style of painting which is very ephemeral in the sense that it is amorphous, transparent. The only piece from her work that is preserved is her photograph. Painting and photography are closely together to produce an unflattering two-dimensional space that is trompe-l'oeil. In certain places, the three-dimensional space can be observed, such as near the eye or the hair. Meade is also able to integrate her models painted by Meade into the space of 3D that surrounds the models. Interaction between them and the created environment is possible. This way, the line between painting and photography can be dissolved.
